Creating films is a way of telling stories that can inspire others and support behaviour change. Across different projects, I have worked as a director, producer, camera operator, editor, and presenter.
Here is a selection of my recent films. If you’d like help telling your story, I’d love to work together. The videos below are available to watch in HD or 4K on YouTube. More videos available on my YouTube Channel.
Videos created for the ProBleu Project
The following videos were created for the ProBleu project, an EU-funded initiative that promotes ocean and water literacy in schools across Europe, offering an exciting catalogue of teaching resources to inspire students’ engagement with aquatic ecosystems and sustainability. Whilst being employed by Plymouth Marine Laboratory to create some of these resources, I produced a number of videos exploring real-world science and conservation projects in the UK and New Zealand.
Restoring the Lifelines is a video I produced, filmed and edited for ProBleu. In this video, you will meet Craig, founder of Clean Streams Karamea on New Zealand's West Coast. He and his team work with farmers and conservation groups to restore local streams and protect native wildlife.
Guardians of the Sea is a video I produced, filmed and edited for ProBleu. Nestled between snow-capped mountains and the sea, Kaikōura is one of New Zealand’s most extraordinary coastal towns. Just offshore, a deep underwater canyon fuels a rich marine ecosystem where whales, orca, dusky dolphins, and seabirds thrive. But like many coastal ecosystems around the world, Kaikōura’s marine environment has faced growing pressure. This film explores Kaikōura’s unique connection between people, ocean, and ancestry, and how a community came together to protect it. Through collaboration between indigenous knowledge, science, government, and industry, locals are reshaping how this remarkable environment is cared for, now and for generations to come.
Whakahaumanu ngā awa Pākihi: The Braided River Revival Project is a video I produced, filmed and edited for ProBleu. In this video, you will meet the team from the Braided River Revival project at Environment Canterbury, who are restoring rivers in New Zealand’s South Island, including the Waimakariri River. Learn what makes braided rivers unique and how restoration efforts are balancing flood protection with pressures from habitat loss, invasive weeds, and climate change.
Science at Sea is a video I produced, presented and edited for ProBleu, together with videographer Jonathan White from Plymouth Marine Laboratory. Come aboard Plymouth Marine Laboratory's research vessel Plymouth Quest!
